--Welcome to the wonderful world of Hot Yoga at Mystic Fitness. Mystic is a very unique yoga studio and we know you will love it!


--As with any new health, wellness, and fitness program, please check with your doctor before starting yoga classes at Mystic Fitness.

-- New students try out hot yoga for the first time by choosing one of our many classes-- please view our full schedule by clicking on the "Schedule" tab. Nearly every single one of our classes has a brand new student in it, so don't worry-- it is unlikely you will be the only one in class just starting out. All classes are designed to cater to both newbies and seasoned-practitioners at the same time. The yoga is designed to speak to each student at his or her own level.

--If you need to leave the class early for any reason, that is fine, but please inform your instructor prior to class of your plans.

--For your first class, it is recommended that you place your mat in the back row, so you have a better opportunity to view the postures, if need be.

--Acclimating to the heat is a process, and it may take several classes before a new student feels comfortable practicing in elevated temperatures. We recommend that new students lay down on their mats, sip some water, and try to remain in the room, if they begin to feel tired or weak. Acclimating to the heat is a process that can be developed faster and stronger by remaining in the hot room for the full duration of class, even if a student chooses to lay down. Nevertheless, it is always perfectly acceptable for a student to leave the practice room and go into the cooler air outside of the studio, if the heat is too uncomfortable. At Mystic Fitness, we fully support the choices of each student to listen to their own body and needs first, and act accordingly.

--Students can register and sign-up for any class and pay online, in order to save time. Please click this link to set-up your own account on Mindbody. It is pretty easy, convenient and fun to do.

--If you prefer to register and pay in person, please arrive at the studio about 20 minutes before the start of class time. For your first class, be sure to give yourself plenty of time to register, pay and get acclimated. A drop-in costs $17. New students qualify for Mystic's 1-Week Unlimited Special, which costs only $29.99. We highly recommend that you take several classes and allow your body and mind to get immersed in the practice. We offer 30 classes per week, of 6 different types of yoga, with 10 different instructors. You may also want to consider purchasing the New Student 1-Month Unlimited, for only $189, as this package supplies you with a new yoga mat ($25), a new Yogitoes towel ($62), a Bikram book ($19) and a Baptiste book ($19), giving you all of the tools you need to launch yourself right into a life-changing practice. (These Intro packages are available for purchase at Mystic's front desk, not online).

--Pre-registration is never required; we never turn any student away. Our practice studio is very large and can accommodate up to 60 students at one time. Most classes have 20-25 students in them. The 6am classes are the least crowded. Some weekend classes may have 30-40 students, while some weekday and early-morning classes may have 3-4 students. We can never predict how full or empty a class may be, but we never require pre-registration.

--We sell yoga mats, Yogitoes towels, water and electrolyte drinks at the studio. We also rent mats ($1) and towels ($1-$2).

--Please come prepared to sweat. We have showers and locker rooms for changing before and after class. Cell phones and electronics are not permitted in the practice room. These things are best left in the locker rooms or outside in your locked car.

--Drink plenty of water before your first class, and get a good night's sleep.
